What to Expect on the Day of Surgery

When you arrive at the Eye Surgery Center of Hawaii, a member of our friendly staff will escort you to the pre-surgery area. A nurse will review a brief health history and check your vital signs.

You will then be taken to the operating room, where your eye surgeon and highly trained surgical team will perform your procedure using state-of-the-art equipment.

After surgery, you will be moved to a recovery area where a nurse will monitor your comfort and answer any questions. You will receive clear instructions for caring for yourself at home before being discharged.

Once your discharge process is complete, you may go home. A responsible adult must be available to drive you home after your procedure.

If you have questions during your recovery, you may contact your eye surgeon using the phone number provided in your discharge instructions.
